summer 2k9
so we got some kewl shit planned for summer.
1. merch, merch, merch! we're plan to get out like three different shirts by summer. we got two designs down. so one more to go, then we just gotta scrape up enough cash to get them printed. check out the two we got so far at thekingsfordrun.bigcartel.com
2. trailer. don't even get me started.
3. second guitarist. let's cross our fingers, eh?
4. new EP! yes, yes, yes. we're in the midst of writing a fuckload of new songs for the new EP which hopefully we'll get out sometime in june, not too late. i think we came to the conclusion it's gonna be an eight songer. we have about half written. which doesn't mean too much seeing as how we're rerecording two songs from the last one for the new one haha. but nonetheless, we have two or three new songs totally done. so that leaves about three or four to write by the end of may. it'll all work out. we've been struggling with a name for it. but we'll come to a conclusion soon i hope. we just need to start crankin shit out. but yeah, the coolest part of this upcoming ep is that we're not printing them on cds like "python city". cuz we spent a little over $300 to get 100 cds printed, and then realized that nobody pays for music anymore. so right now we're giving them out at shows pretty much and selling them on big cartel if we need to ship them i guess. but like i was saying, that's not happening this time. what we're doing is recording the ep, making album art, think of a name, and put the shit on mediafire for free download. it's gonna be awesome. i'm fucking pumped.
5. last but not least, TOUR! sooooooo siq! we should be going on a three weeker with our buddies falco does it dirty (myspace.com/falcodid) from mid july to early august.

about us.........i guess
so i guess i should kick this thing off with some stupid shit about us that nobody cares about. we're the kingsford run: an experimental band from simi valley, ca. we're a four-peice consisting of miles west on guitar, jason yarger on vocals, kevin leekley on drums and rafael tamayo on bass.
we draw influences from a butt-load of various bands such as fear before the march of flames, converge, botch, sex positions, comadre, the chariot, ceremony, don the reader, leathermouth, deadhead, charles bronson, flux of pink indians, pg.99, trash talk, coalesce, some girls, curl up and die, narrows, pink floyd, la dispute, trap them, the jonbenet, isis, purple mercy, showbread, the bled, every time i die, ...who calls so loud, mammoth grinder, the blood brothers, scarlet, punch, bowie, pelican, gallows, amanda woodward, breather resist, fugazi, sabertooth zombie, you and i, blues, norma jean, and black flag. pretty much anything we listen to. but you can decide for yourself what we sound like.

i was trying to think of something inspirational and unique to say at the end here but it's not working out.
